We keep your email, subscription and Stripe customer id. The permits we send are public records with a link to the source. We don't sell data or run ad trackers. Unsubscribe from any email in one click.

What this policy covers

Gunja Consulting, Inc. (“Permit Dawn”, “we”) operates permitdawn.com and the Permit Dawn permit-alert service. This policy explains what we collect from subscribers and site visitors, what we do with public-record data, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Account and billing

Email address, name, password (stored hashed by Firebase Authentication), the metros and trades you subscribe to, and your email preferences. Payment card details go directly to Stripe; we store only a Stripe customer identifier and subscription status.

Usage

Standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) kept by our hosting providers to run the service and investigate abuse. We do not run advertising trackers.

Email delivery

Our email provider records delivery, bounce and complaint events so we can stop sending to addresses that reject mail.

Public-record data in the service

The permits we deliver are compiled from records that cities and counties publish under public-records and open-data laws. Those records may include the names of property owners and contractors as recorded by the issuing agency. We do not add, infer or enrich personal details about property owners, and we present each record with a link to its official source.

If you are a property owner or contractor named in a public permit and want to discuss how your name appears in our service, contact privacy@permitdawn.com. Corrections to the underlying record must be made with the issuing agency.

How we use information

  • To deliver the daily digests and dashboard you subscribe to.
  • To bill you through Stripe and send receipts, trial reminders and payment notices.
  • To answer support requests.
  • To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.

Service providers

We use Google Cloud and Firebase (hosting, authentication, database), Vercel (website hosting), Stripe (payments) and Resend (email delivery). Each processes data only to provide its service to us. We do not sell personal information.

Your choices

  • Turn the daily digest off from My feeds or the unsubscribe link in any email.
  • Cancel your subscription any time from Billing.
  • Ask us to delete your account and data by emailing privacy@permitdawn.com.
